Previously, we already wrote about this very ambitious LIFE project, for which Transfer Consultancy fulfills all compliance management tasks. This waste reduction and recycling project is led by IBERIA and incorporates other industry giants such as Gate Gourmet, Ferrovial and ECOEMBES. One year after its startup the first results are coming in. The waste characterization on board and its recycling potential has been established, test flights were held between Barajas and Heathrow airports, promotion materials were realized and training of crews initiated. This autumn a full roll-out of environmental friendly onboard practices will start! Soon we’ll publish the video that IBERIA has in preparation to be shown to millions of passengers to inform them about the company’s efforts to improve the company’s footprint in the aviation industry.
