Transfer partners continued efforts to promote the final conference
Last March 9th and 10th, the Life ‘Crops for Better Soil’ and ‘Operation CO2’ partners continued efforts to promote the final conference scheduled for May 18th and 19th in Madrid. Pius Floris (PHC), Juan Pablo del Monte (UPM), Sven Kallen (Transfer) and Egbert Sonneveld (Transati) visited a variety of relevant stakeholders in the organic farming sector in Madrid, Andalucía and even southern Portugal to invite them to the conference, which will take place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid’s Aula Magna. The people visited included professors from the Instituto Politécnico de Beja, the reknowned NGO Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre and the mayor of Cifuentes (Guadalajara).
At the conference, the direct and indirect results of the project will be presented and partners will also share a white paper with guidelines supported by the participating farmers, agronomists, marketing and trade partners and the scientific experts. Especially farmers and landowners that have already attended the presentations and workshops at previous Biocultura editions have shown interest in once again participating. The invitation has extended this time specifically towards relevant policymakers and even clients for organic products. The response from the invitees was very positive. Since the maximum capacity of the Aula Magna of the UPM is limited to 200 persons, everyone interested to attend is encouraged to register as soon as possible.
