Last 24th of October the Consortium celebrated the Carbon Experts meeting to discuss the situation regarding carbon credits during the LIFE Operación CO2 project.

The objectives for the session focused on: discussing how carbon credits from the project can be traded at the Voluntary Carbon Offsets Market; assessing the results of the audit process for site A (Muntanya d’Alinyà), especially regarding problems with the double counting issues; and proposing the steps that can be taken to solve the situation, including policy recommendations.

The meeting was held at the Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera’s offices and included the participation of experts from the environmental sector, a government official and international speakers.
